SRI SATHYA SAI COLLEGE FOR WOMEN

The crest is a symbolic lotus with “OUM” and other signs it’s petals a light burning inside it. The words are written on the top part of the crest.

    HISTORY

    In the year 1981, a group of enthusiastic Sathya Sai devotees deliberated on the need to establish a value based model higher education institute for women at Bhubaneswar as the growing capital city with its urbanization had steadily started eroding the moral and ethical values of our great cultural heritage. In that year with the blessings of Sri Sathya Sai Baba the college initially started functioning in the campus of Sri Sathya Sai High School Unit-III.

    To be recognized as unique institution for women, coping with the technological and social transformation that are taking place at breakneck speed.  Empowering women students with rational and divergent thinking and creativity in all fields of life. Facilitating economically and socially backward students developing innovative and research attitude among students and faculties and providing extension services in the pursuit of excellence.

    Our mission is to be the institution of choice for students seeking a holistic education that helps them to tackle the big questions that our society confronts this decade. With the combination of competence and virtue we prepare skilled and intellectually equipped student who are able to contribute to the progress of the nation. Our teaching in underpinned by the ground breaking research of our academic staff so students can enter the workforce with innovative skills and knowledge.

    Co-curricular Activities

    In pursuance of provision made under Odisha Education Act. Service and conduct rules, members of the staff are hereby assigned extracurricular activities as per the following distribution and allotment against their names. This order is effective from 10th April 2016.

    Youth Red Cross

    Youth Red Cross came into force in our College in 1996-97. Red Cross fund is financed by the students of our College. Each student contributes Rs.10/- For this fund . The Red Cross wing of the college has been designed at “ Youth Red Cross”.
